Inc. wins First Place in National Safety Award Hartford CT: On February 27, 2018, Shepard Steel, a 60 year strong structural and miscellaneous fab- ricator, became the 2018 National Winner of the Willis Towers Watson Award; sponsored by the AGC (As- sociated General Contractors) of America. Competing nationally with other companies that also excelled in safety performance, Shepard Steel was awarded fi rst place based on their commitment to safety and occupational health management and risk control. Shepard Steel's Executive Vice President, Brian Ritchie (pictured second from left, receiving the award) presented in front of a panel comprised of fi ve judges at the National AGC Confer- ence in New Orleans. Unlike other awards that limit the safety criteria to frequency; this award also re- fl ects Shepard Steel's management commitment, employee's active participation, safety training, work site hazard and safety controls, and safety program inno- vations. Of the company's recent award, President Rick Beck- erman said "This is the culmination of the hard work and dedication of all of our employees to a safe work environment. Shepard Steel is com- mitted to "safety fi rst" and all of our employees should be congratu- lated. We are all very proud of this achievement." 110 MEADOW STREET.
