Comcast participates in Read Across America day During the recent national Read Across America day, Comcast employees joined other volunteers from the United Way of Central and Northeastern CT to read Dr. Seuss with kids at Lincoln Elementary School in New Britain. In addition, Comcast employees held a book drive the week prior and donated three boxes of books to the United Way's reading program. Bank of America campaign supports Foodshare Foodshare recently received $35,025 from the 2017 Give A Meal campaign with support from Bank of America and Feeding America. The funds raised will provide over 87,000 meals worth of food to a network of 300 local food pantries, meal programs and Mobile Foodshare sites.
