Miller has a background in programmatic grantmaking, cultural nonprofit management and business administration, having held professional positions at the Greater Hartford Arts Council and Connecticut Humanities. Carlos Dominguez, president and chief operating officer of Sprinklr, a global social media management company, has been appointed to The Hartford's board of directors, effective Feb. 21, as the company accelerates its digital strategy and investments in technology. Before Sprinklr, Dominguez spent 22 years in various roles at Cisco Systems Inc., including establishing its New York office and leading efforts to enter strategic markets such as financial services, media and pharmaceuticals. He also led the service provider business for Cisco and, for seven years, served as a technology representative for the chairman and CEO, engaging with Fortune 500 senior executives and government leaders worldwide. Dr. Kolawole Olofinboba, managing partner of West Hartford- based private equity investment management firm Fairview Capital Inc., has been elected to Simsbury Bank's board of directors. Olofinboba joined Fairview Capital in 2007 and was appointed managing partner in 2015. Prior to joining Fairview, he was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Co., serving U.S. and global clients in health care and private equity. Olofinboba has also practiced medicine as a board-certified internist/hospitalist and assistant professor at UConn Health in Farmington. Susan R. Vincent Van Oss has been appointed director of marketing for Quinnipiac University Online and is responsible for implementing the strategic planning, coordination and management of all marketing efforts for the university's online and corporate training programs. Smith has been promoted to corporate controller of Webster Bank and Webster Financial Corp. after serving as assistant controller of the bank. Smith will be a senior leader within Webster's accounting department. He previously worked in financial analysis and reporting at Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Aetna. Jesse Luis has joined Foxwoods Resort Casino as vice president of development and will oversee developing and recommending strategic operating plans for new ventures, and analyzing and assessing current and potential business opportunities. Luis most recently served as senior vice president of real estate development for the Newark Community Economic Development Corp. in New Jersey. Elysa Gordon has been appointed vice president and senior adviser to the president of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
