A limited amount of cans, kegs and bottles are available. Springdale, located directly adjacent to Jack's Abby, was launched in 2016 as a side project of the Framingham brewery. Most of the bar- rel-aged beer to be distributed has been conditioning for up to nine months. New Worcester arts initiative receives $500K Boston private foundation Barr Foundation gave $500,000 to the Greater Worcester Community Foundation to help create a new an arts initiative. The donation from the Barr Foundation adds to arts-community funding from the GWCF, which granted more than $2 million last year. GWCF is one of five Massachusetts organizations to each receive $500,000 from the Barr Foundation. The $2.5 mil- lion in funding is creating a program called Creative Commonwealth. Power donates $3M to alma mater Holy Cross J.D. Power, known for his namesake awards for cars and other consumer products, has given $3 million to the College of the Holy Cross. The gift from Power's family founda- tion, the Kenrose Kitchen Table Foundation, will support Holy Cross' Center for Liberal Arts in the World, which will be renamed for Power. Holy Cross said the funding will enable it to expand experien- tial learning opportunities for students. Nearly 60 percent of Holy Cross students par- ticipate in experiential learning, which combines classroom work with real- world projects. Power's donation will move Holy Cross toward having all students participate in some kind of experiential learning. Power is a Worcester native and a 1953 Holy Cross graduate.
