Avesta Housing, a nonprofit afford- able housing developer and property manager in Portland, hired Alyssa Dean- Littlefield as director of asset manage- ment and Doug Gardner as vice president of resident services overseeing the prop- erty management and senior/assisted living divisions. Dean-Littlefield most recently served as a senior asset manager at Northern New England Housing Investment Fund while Gardner was vice president of opera- tions for North Country Associates. Drummond Woodsum Strategic Consulting in Portland hired Mark Gallagher as a government relations and campaign consul- tant. Previously, Gallagher was the state director for U.S. Sen. Edward J. Markey. The Maine Community Foundation in Ellsworth hired Gloria Aponte Clarke as program officer. Clarke previously managed and directed the Maine State Innovation Model to improve health care for Maine people. Mercy Hospital in Portland hired Nicolas Arredondo as a board-certified neurosurgeon at Maine Spine Surgery. Most recently, Arredondo practiced as a general neurological surgeon at the Neurologic Institute of Savannah & Center for Spine in Savannah, Ga. e U.S. Small Business Administration hired Wendell Davis as regional adminis- trator for SBA Region I, which covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Davis was managing partner with DCB Law Group LLC. OceanView at Falmouth, an assisted living and retirement commu- nity in Falmouth, hired Tamera Vogel as assisted living and memory care sales consultant. Vogel was a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual and Prudential. The Maine Center for Entrepreneurs in Portland hired Sue Hanson as program manager for its Food Accelerator Program. Hanson was previ- ously continuous improvement director at AdvancePierre. Otelco, a wireline telecommunica- tions services company in New Gloucester, hired Scott Littlefield as a network engineering manager and Danielle Hopper as a senior voice and data engineer. Littlefield was with Windstream in South Carolina while Hopper most recently as an engineer- ing manager at Spectrum. Gelato Fiasco in Brunswick hired Jonathan Davis as supply chain administrator and Jonathan Dyer as a quality assurance and quality control supervisor. Davis was previously town administrator for the town of West Bath while Dyer was a scientist and manager at e Alchemist Inc. Gawron Turgeon Architects PC in Scarborough hired Sashie Misner as a landscape architect. Eaton Peabody, a law firm in Bangor, hired Shawn Doil as senior counsel, Janna Gau as of counsel and Carrie LeDuc as a business consultant. The Iris Network, a nonprofit in Portland serving the blind and visu- ally impaired, hired David Barnwell as president/executive director. Barnwell was president and vice president of business affairs at A Brighter Path Foundation at Industries for the Blind in North Carolina. Skelton, Taintor & Abbott, a law firm in Auburn, hired Avery Dandreta as an associate attorney. Dandreta prac- tices real estate law and is licensed in Maine and Massachusetts. Maine Medical Partners in Portland announced several new hires. Benjamin Felix joined Maine Medical Partners – Outpatient Clinics, where he will be providing internal medicine care; Jillian Dur was hired as a geriatrician with Westbrook Primary Care; Leslie Bradford, who is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with a subspecialty in gyne- cologic oncology, joined Maine Medical Partners – Women's Health; Jonathan Watling joined Maine Medical Partners – Orthopedics & Sports Medicine as an orthopedic surgeon; and Ronald Zviti joined Maine Medical Partners – Pediatric Specialty Care, Division of Nephrology. The Central Maine & Québec Railway in Bangor hired Wesley Logan as general manager operations. Logan was most recently with Goderich-Exeter Railway and the Southern Ontario Railway. Gov. Paul R. LePage hired Michael Beardsley as senior policy advisor in the area of natural resources policy. Beardsley was previously national director of marketing and sales for Santee Risk Managers, which pro- vides insurance products to logging contractors nationwide. The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce hired Trisha Mosher as executive director.
