In this role, Y.O.U., Inc. provides wraparound intensive care coordination services to families with children managing serious mental health issues. e team helps to coordinate referrals for all therapeutic and community services, and provides support and training for parents. e CSA program takes a leadership role with clients' care planning meetings, where representatives of the state's child welfare agencies, local schools, and other connected providers meet to ensure the quality and effectiveness of mental health care for these children. Y.O.U., Inc.'s Community-Based Services component brings innovative programs to children and famiies in their home communities - a cost-effective approach that encourages clients to connect with natural supports such as churches and advocacy groups, which provide ongoing supports once treatment is complete. Community- Based Services include Family Stabilization and In- Home erapy, erapeutic Mentoring, Positive Parent Coaching, Substance Abuse Services, and the innovative Adventure Challenge Experience (ACE) program with its licensed, state-of-the-art ropes course. Rounding out the component's programs are Fire Prevention, Alternative to Lock-up, Juvenile Resource Center, Pregnant and Parenting Teen Services, as well as teen pregnancy, HIV and STD prevention. For students requiring specialized educational services not readily available in traditional school settings, Y.O.U., Inc.'s Education and Employment component offers comprehensive programs including two day schools, a college access program, adult education and GED programs, and a 45-day Assessment Program providing comprehensive special education, behavioral, clinical, and substance abuse evaluations for middle and high school students. Students at the Y.O.U., Inc. Educational Day Academy benefit from a broad academic and vocational curriculum supported by comprehensive therapeutic services. e Upward Bound and Youth Academy programs provide promising but at-risk high school students with intensive academic supports and services to help these students achieve their dreams of a college education. Dynamy Internship Year is a "gap-year" program offering experiential learning, internships, and independent living situations for high school students following their senior year. e component's Education for Employment Program gives out-of-school youth between the ages of 16 and 21 an opportunity to earn their GED, explore career options, and prepare for post- secondary education or employment. And finally, for many troubled children an out-of- home placement holds the most promise for a successful return to their home or community. To that end, Y.O.U. Inc. offers out-of-home care that ranges from short- term stabilization and hospital diversion programs to longer-term behavioral treatment residences, supported living apartments, and intensive foster care. e agency's programs offer extensive therapy and child psychiatry, provide behavior and medication management services, and ensure that each client continues their education either in their own community school, or at the program itself. Y.O.U., Inc.'s nine out-of-home programs serve children from infancy through age 22, and although each has a unique focus, they all share a common goal: to provide a safe and nurturing place for children to call home until they can be reunited with their own families, or placed in a permanent foster care setting.
