Pieksza, a partner with more than 20 years of experience in audit services, will continue to focus on the firm's growth along the East Coast. He replaces Rick Buggy, CPA, who will continue to grow the firm's presence along the East Coast serving clients in the healthcare, insurance and nonprofit industries. Buggy, a founding partner of Saslow Lufkin & Buggy LLP (SLB), joined Crowe in 2015 as a partner in tax services along with the other partners and professionals of SLB. Suzanne Bourdeaux, Bob Bausmith and Michael Kennedy were recently elected members of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra board of directors. Bourdeaux is the director of consulting at Adobe Global Services, Adobe Systems. Bausmith is a managing director for CEO Quest, a Silicon Valley-based membership forum for CEOs of venture-backed technology companies. Kennedy is a CPA and vice president of tax and treasurer at the Barnes Group Inc. Kaitlin Reiss has been named chief marketing officer of Wallingford-based Edible Arrangements, a franchisor of shops offering fresh cut fruit arrangements. Reiss, who joined Edible Arrangements in 2005 as a marketing coordinator, held a variety of positions in marketing, communications and e-commerce and most recently served as vice president of marketing and e-commerce. Rick Culver has been hired as senior mechanical engineer in the energy and facilities department at consulting engineering services firm Fuss & O'Neill in Manchester. Culver brings 34 years of experience to a team that provides services in energy auditing, HVAC upgrades, property/building assessments, industrial design, storage tank removal/replacement, and environmental compliance. He spent his career at Saren Engineering Inc., a small, family operated consulting firm, and focused on energy studies, HVAC design, decentralization, and cogeneration projects. Trentity "Trent" DeWitt has joined XVIVO Scientific Animation, a creator of medical animation and scientific media located in Wethersfield, as an interactive designer. DeWitt has more than 14 years of experience in animation, programming and motion graphics. Michael Garner has joined the employee benefit team at Lockton, an independent insurance broker, as a vice president and producer in the Hartford office. Garner will oversee generating new client relationships and will provide oversight and leadership to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Prior to joining Lockton, he was a principal with Ovation Benefits, now OneDigital Health and Benefits. Ali Berman has joined CTNext, a state- backed resource and support network for entrepreneurs, as program manager. In her role, Berman will primarily oversee the Innovation Places program and the Higher Education Entrepreneurship and Innovation Fund. Most recently, Berman worked for Techstars in Boulder, Colo., a global ecosystem helping entrepreneurs bring new technologies to market, in positions that included interim director of the Techstars Foundation. Stephen O. Clancy, Rachel V. Kushel and Keisha S. Palmer, lawyers in the Hartford office of Robinson+Cole, have been named partners, effective Jan. 1. Clancy focuses his practice on insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation, as well as professional liability and other complex litigation. He is a member of Robinson+Cole's litigation section, and its insurance and reinsurance practice group. Kushel counsels clients on employment law and workplace human resource issues, including equal employment matters, investigations and hiring, discipline, termination, discrimination, leave and harassment issues. Palmer is a member of Robinson+Cole's public finance group. She represents state, municipal, and Indian tribal governments in the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable general obligation bonds and other debt obligations.
