Timothy Kenlan, an attorney at Berman & Simmons, joined the board of direc- tors of the Trinity Jubilee Center, a nonprofi t, secular organization in Lewiston that provides services and advocacy for underserved populations including the poor, elderly, homeless, immigrants and refugees. Maine Real Estate & Development Association approved a board seat for the DevelopME committee co-chairs, each serving one-year of the two-year term on an alternating schedule. Chris Richmond, a member of the marine insur- ance division of Allen Insurance and Financial in Camden, was elected to a three- year term on the board of directors of the Maine Marine Trades Association. Richard Walker was elected as chair- man of the Franklin Savings Bank board of directors following the announcement that current chair, William Bernard, will retire. Walker is a CPA who owns his own accounting, audit, tax and consult- ing practice. Bernard, who was elected chairman in 2003, has been a member of the board since 1985. Luis Ayala of Foxcroft Academy in Dover- Foxcroft was announced as the winner of U.S. Cellular's "Most Valuable Coach" program. Ayala, who coaches soccer and wrestling, received $50,000 that he will donate to the school's athletic department. Cathy Ramsdell, executive direc- tor of Friends of Casco Bay in South Portland, received the "Experienced Leader Award 2017" from the American Institute of Certifi ed Public Accountants and the Maine Society of Certifi ed Public Accountants. e award is in recognition of the fi nancial mentoring of her orga- nization and other nonprofi t leaders.
