Reporting to John Kinney, the company's chief claims officer, Seidner will be responsible for leading The Hartford's medical strategy and policy across all business lines. Previously, Seidner was global medical director for Travelers Insurance. Michelle Bonner, a former anchor at ESPN, has been named marketing director of the Mandell Jewish Community Center of Greater Hartford. Bonner joins the Mandell JCC after serving as principal and owner of a Connecticut-based public relations and marketing-consulting firm. Prior to starting her business, Bonner worked for ESPN for more than seven years anchoring a variety of shows, including "SportsCenter." Bonner also is an adjunct professor, most recently at the University of Hartford. Dr. Daniel Kombert has been named associate vice president of medical affairs for Hartford Hospital and medical director of the Hartford HealthCare Transfer Center. In this new role Kombert will be responsible for the appropriate use of inpatient services at Hartford Hospital as well as providing administrative and medical oversight of the Hartford HealthCare Transfer Center within the care logistics center. Before joining The Hospital of Central Connecticut in 2012, he was vice president for hospitalist services at Stewart Health Care System, serving 10 community hospitals in eastern Massachusetts. Brian Robinson has joined accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP (Baker Tilly) in its affordable housing practice. As senior managing director based in West Hartford, Robinson will help clients navigate financing tools. He will serve clients in New England and throughout the country. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Robinson served as a multifamily loan and tax credit underwriter for a state agency and later a senior finance and development manager for an affordable housing developer. Frederik F. Erikson, senior vice president at Webster Bank, has been named deputy general counsel, and two other senior vice presidents, Katherine Vines Trumbull and Jennifer L. Harris, have been named associate general counsel. Erikson joined Webster in 2001 and is responsible for major transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and complex supplier arrangements; and intellectual property matters. Prior to working at Webster, Erikson worked for a law firm specializing in technology-related matters. Eric Bennett, Pamela Mower and Peter Izzo were recently named to new positions at Willimantic-based Savings Institute Bank & Trust — Bennett as Hebron branch manager, Mower as manager of the bank's Colchester and East Hampton locations, and Izzo as a mortgage consultant serving the greater East Hampton area. Bennett joined the bank in 2015 as branch manager of the PriceRite location on Cantor Drive in Willimantic, and then moved to manage the Lebanon location. Mower joined the bank in 2007 as assistant branch manager of the Moosup location and was promoted to branch manager of the Lisbon Walmart in-store location shortly thereafter. She has 20-plus years of experience. Izzo joined the bank in early 2017 as a junior mortgage consultant. Paul H. Mounds Jr. will join the Connecticut Health Foundation as vice president of policy and communications on Jan. 8. He will be responsible for the Foundation's work to inform policymakers on issues related to health equity. Mounds, who has been working as a public policy consultant in Michigan, has extensive experience in policymaking and communications at the state and federal levels. He served as senior director of public policy and government relations for Gov. Dannel P. Malloy. Dr. Molly Emott has joined St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center as a fellowship- trained specialist in adult endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism with St. Francis Medical Group. Emott completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C., then completed a fellowship in adult endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield.
