Box 330, Congers, NY 10920- 9894 T he constantly evolving healthcare landscape can be confusing, even intimidating, for both consumers and businesses that need its services. Mergers and acquisitions have led to a considerable consolidation within health care. Figuring out who owns a particular hospital, urgent care clinic or physician practice is no longer a simple task. Meantime, new services and products are coming out at a breathtaking pace. Where people go to get certain types of care is also changing. The Health Care Resource Guide was developed to bring some clarity to the region's complex healthcare system and its various parts and players. In the pages that follow, you'll find more than two dozen lists of various healthcare services and providers, ranging from cancer treatment clinics, dialysis facilities and eye surgery centers, to fertility clinics, fitness clubs and addiction treatment centers. Whether you are a consumer, or someone responsible for researching and comparing health options in a business context, we hope that you find the Greater Hartford Health Care Resource Guide a useful and informative tool. A special thanks is due to New England Business Media Research Director Stephanie Meagher and Research Assistant Heide Martin, who put together these lists. If you think your company should be added to a list or you have ideas for a new one, please contact Stephanie Meagher at smeagher@nebusinessmedia.com.
