Vogel, a shareholder at the Portland law fi rm of Drummond Woodsum, also serves as chair of the association's public policy committee. SIS Bank in Sanford said Blaine Boudreau was named to the Independent Community Bankers of America's federal delegate board for the term beginning March 17, 2018. Boudreau, president of SIS, will serve on the board for the fourth time. The Maine Municipal Association elected Linda Cohen as president and Mary Sabins as vice president of its execu- tive committee. Cohen is a South Portland City Councilor and Sabins is town manager in Vassalboro. Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Lewiston added Michael Martel and Mary-Anne Ponti to its board of direc- tors. Martel is the market director of Main Street East while Ponti is senior vice president, system chief nurse exec- utive for Central Maine Healthcare. Thompson Bowie & Hatch, a law fi rm in Portland, announced that attor- ney Sarah Yantakosol Gayer was appointed chair of the American Bar Association's Admiralty and Maritime Law Committee. U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree was selected as an ex-offi cio member of the National Council on the Arts, which advises the National Endowment for the Arts on its grant programs and other priorities. [ A C H I E V E M E N T S ] The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce selected the 2018 recipients of its annual awards. Jean Deighan of Deighan Wealth Advisors was honored with the chamber's highest honor, the "Norbert X. Dowd Award." Dysarts was named the "Business of the Year Award" winner. Susan Hunter, presi- dent of the University of Maine, cap- tured the "Catherine Lebowitz Award for Public Service." e "M. Jane Irving Community Service Award" went to Bangor Housing Authority. e "Nonprofi t of the Year Award" was presented to Penquis. Stephen Rich, retired president and CEO of WBRC Architects/Engineers, was selected as the "Arthur Comstock Professional Service Award" winner. e Bion & Dorain Foster Entrepreneurship Award went to Adam Moskovitz, CEO of ANM Properties. Finally, Kathleen Shane from Down East Rental in Brewer was chosen as "Chamber Volunteer of the Year." Coastal Enterprises Inc. in Brunswick said that the venture capital fund, Coastal Ventures IV Limited Partnership, established by its for- profi t venture capital subsidiary CEI Ventures Inc., was been certifi ed by the U.S. Treasury as a Community Development Financial Institution. Skelton Taintor & Abbott, a law fi rm in Auburn, said that Bryan Dench, Rebecca Webber and Stephen Wade were named to the 2017 New England Super Lawyers list. Dench, chairman of the board of directors of the fi rm, was selected in the business and corporate categories; Webber, a shareholder, in employment and labor; and Wade, a shareholder, in personal injury general, plaintiff . e National Association of Plan Advisors named Lebel & Harriman LLP in Falmouth as one of the top retirement plan advisory fi rms in the nation. The Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association in Augusta selected Michaud Distributors and its Snyder's-Lance site in Saco as its "2017 Associate of the Year;" Ricker Hill Orchards in Turner its "2017 Producer of the Year;" and Country Farms Market in Easton and Washburn its "2017 Grocer of the Year." Skelton Taintor & Abbott, a law fi rm in Auburn, announced Amy Dieterich and Braden Clement were selected to the 2017 New England Rising Stars list. Dieterich was recognized in the area of business litigation and Clement in the areas of general litigation and personal injury. Shaheen & Gordon PA said 11 of its attorneys were selected to the 2017 Super Lawyers listing including Saco-based attorneys Peter Schroeter in alternative dispute resolution and Randall Smith in personal injury medi- cal malpractice-plaintiff s. Kathy Littlefi eld received the "Ethel N. Kelley Memorial Award," recognizing community service, from the Maine Municipal Association. Littlefi eld has been a Waldo Selectman for 45 years.
