N O T E W O R T H Y N O R T H E R N & E A S T E R N The boards of directors of Penquis, a nonprofi t community action agency in Bangor, and the Charlotte White Center, a health and social servic- es nonprofi t in Bangor, announced that they have entered into a two- year management agreement under which Penquis CEO Kara Hay and CFO Denice Conary will provide the Charlotte White Center with executive and fi nancial leadership. S.W. Cole Engineering Inc. in Bangor said it acquired Tibbetts Engineering Corp. and will merge its offi ces in New Bedford, Mass., and Taunton, Mass., into the Taunton site. The operations are 15 miles apart. MMG Insurance in Presque Isle pledged $50,000 to the proposed new Husson College of Business building on the university's Bangor campus and technology improvements to the distance learning capability at the uni- versity's Presque Isle campus. EMHS in Bangor and the U.S. Army signed a partnership agreement as part of the U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success program. The program provides soldiers and ROTC cadets a guaranteed job interview and possible employment with the hospital system after their military service.
