BOARD OF DIRECTORS I went from being homeless and feeling completely lost to having my own apartment, a promising career and a chance to build a bright future for my son and I'm only 18. None of it would have been possible without OPP. – Blanca , former OPP youth O PP has great people who know what you're going through because they've been there. They help you get jobs, help you get a place [to live], help you if your back is against the wall. They push you to do your best. – Kasmaine , former OPP youth GOALS • Help Youth Graduate from High School and Prepare for College, Career and Community • Prepare Youth for the Sustainable Employment • Break the Cycle of Poverty, Crime and Unemployment FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES OPP has special events year round; our biggest is the Annual Celebration, typically held in late spring/ early summer in the Greater Hartford region. You can support the Annual Celebration through Sponsorships ($1,500-$20,000), ticket purchases (~$125 per person), program advertisement, and donations to our silent auction. Our youth also sell their wares through our Youth Business program. You can purchase a canoe or boat that has been built by our youth from River Wrights Boat Builders, or search for OPP at a local holiday market for art created by our youth in the Junior Art Makers program.
