FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Walk to End Alzheimer's® — The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide and 7 locations in Connecticut in the fall, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. The Longest Day — The Longest Day is a team event to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association®. Held annually on the summer solstice, the duration of this sunrise-to-sunset event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers. Teams are encouraged to create their own experience as they fundraise and participate in an activity they love to honor someone facing the disease. The next Longest Day will be held on in June 2018. Harvesting Hope, a Farm-to-Table experience to benefit the Alzheimer's Association — The cultivation of community joining together to champion the fight against Alzheimer's disease through a niche event at Union Station. Celebrating Hope — This annual cocktail party, held in Greenwich, brings together those who have been confronted with Alzheimer's disease and are joined together by hope. The event raises awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter.
