C4C was created in 2016 through the merger of three established CDFI's with decades of combined experience in understanding community development financing needs and designing programs and services to meet them. With support from our community-minded investors and partners, we make loans throughout the state of Connecticut to address the needs of housing developers and homeowners, non- profit organizations and small businesses. C4C is a mission-driven lender that seeks to make positive change in our communities. We measure our success by how well we: create and maintain healthy affordable housing; foster environmentally conscious investment and development; help businesses and non- profits create economic opportunity and wellbeing; and develop diverse communities with engaged residents. Our lenders are problem-solvers who champion projects that foster economic inclusion and develop safe, affordable and stable communities. Our approach is that one size does not fit all. For homeowners C4C offers several loan products for energy efficiency improvements, including high-efficiency heating systems, windows, roofs and even solar installation. C4C's community lending provides options from pre-development to permanent financing for affordable rental housing, including a special non- secured product (the LIME loan) for energy upgrades on multifamily properties. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES. Capital for Change holds an annual fundraising event, typically during the month of November. Information about the event, i.e., how to become a sponsor and/or purchase tickets, and other opportunities to give, can be found on our website at www.capitalforchange.org.
