Urgent care clinics offer ser- vices to people with immediate medical needs that don't require emergency room care on nights and weekends, providing an option for working professionals who can't make it to primary care offices during business hours. They also serve the needs of healthcare systems trying attract patients. Each urgent care cen- ter to recently open doors in the region has an important link with a local hospital. If patients need specialty, primary or hos- pital care, they are typically referred to other providers with- in the parent system. Quincy- based CareWell directs patients into the UMass Memorial sys- tem. ReadyMED serve as an entry site for Reliant physician offices, while Urgent Care Express at Harrington is owned by Southbridge-based Harrington HealthCare, and Tri- County Urgent Care is part of the Milford Regional Healthcare system. – Emily Micucci continued from page 57 Sources: Urgent Care Locations LLC and each facility.
