Future Goals • To improve the lives of veterans and their families by expanding capacity and services to meet needs. • To reduce homelessness among veterans and their families by providing the housing and support services needed to prevent and/or end homelessness. • To provide inpatient and outpatient treatment services to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues in a serene and supportive environment at our Independence Hall clinical treatment facility. • To continue to find and implement new programs and services for new veterans and returning military service members suffering from issues related to pre/post-deployment, readjustment, reintegration, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress – as well as their family members during and post-deployment. • To expand our nationally recognized Employment & Training Program to assist new veterans and returning military service members to include utilizing education benefits, enrolling in an institution of higher education, and/or obtaining meaningful employment. • To improve and expand services for veterans aging, including those aging in place. • To continue to find and implement new wellness programs and services to assist female veterans and veterans with families. Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast – Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester. Enjoy a great breakfast and thank our veterans in person before the parade honoring their service to our country. 21st Annual Best Ball Charity Golf Classic – Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Heritage Country Club, Charlton. Steak dinner, raffles, prizes, and golf! Gala Military Ball – Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Historic Armory, 44 Salisbury St., Worcester. Sponsor, attend, or donate a silent auction item. There are many opportunities to donate your time, including: • Helping with the food pantry or daily hot meals program • Assisting with fundraising events • Running a food, clothing, gift card, or toiletry drive • Driving veterans to and from their appointments • Facilitating events for veterans, such as cookouts, movie nights, sports activities, health and wellness programs (yoga or nutrition workshops), and outings (fishing trips, nature walks) • Teaching a class in your field (money management, healthcare) • Offering administrative support or helping with repairs and maintenance of our grounds and facilities For more information or to sign up to attend our info session, please contact donations@veteransinc.org or call 508-791-1213 x1196. Giving Opportunities Veterans Inc. could not provide the level of services it does without the generous contributions of individuals and businesses.
