Stevens also excels in EDM wire cutting, parts assembly, part marking and systems integration. Stevens manufactures parts for both rotary and fixed-wing military aircraft, including the Sikorsky Aircraft Presidential Program. Its largest customer is the pioneer of rotorcraft aviation, Sikorsky Aircraft. Other customers include Polskie Zaklady Lotnicze (PZL) a Sikorsky company in Poland; Kaman Aerospace Corporation; KLX Aerospace Solutions; and Aero Vodochody in the Czech Republic. For more than 60 years, Stevens has employed skilled machinists, manufacturing engineers, assemblers and quality inspectors. Many of its loyal employees have dedicated more than 20 years to Stevens, pushing the company to the forefront of manufacturing. Over the past two decades, Stevens has offered an internship program to a local high school, Platt Technical, so students can explore the different positions in the manufacturing industry and pursue rewarding careers. Recently Stevens partnered with The Advanced Manufacturing Program at Housatonic Community College, working to provide young adults there with the tools, mindset, and confidence to succeed in advanced technology and CNC manufacturing environments. Training, 401K, medical insurance, company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, employee-recognition programs and performance-based bonuses. To engage students in rewarding careers, a representative from Stevens sits on a management team to support Platt Technical High School's advisory board. Stevens also holds charity golf tournaments for charities like United Way and St. Vincent's Hospital. Stevens understands the importance of reuse. The company collects and recycles all waste metals and donates extra raw materials and tooling to Platt Technical High School.
