goal is to one day see her own mechanical designs

"I just want to make stuff," she says. "I have a
long way to go. If you want to be a good designer,
you have to know the entire process from start to
finish."
Wanted: young workers
Nationwide, there were just under 1.3 million 16-24
year olds in the manufacturing sector in 2016. In New
