Founded in 1995, Rumford Stone Inc. is a family-owned stone and commercial ceramic tile business that focuses now on manufacturing natural stone and quartz countertops for the kitchen and bath industry. However, the foundation the family business was built upon dates back to 1919, when Pio Trento – Vince Trento's great-grandfather – arrived in the U.S. from Frosinone, Italy. Over the years since its humble beginnings, the business has been involved in projects spanning the United States, from the New York/New England area, all the way to the Caribbean and Hawaii, including The James C. Cleveland Federal Building in Concord, NH, the Ginoux Federal Courthouse in Portland, Maine, as well as many hotels, restaurants and universities across the northeastern United States. Our primary product offering is granite and quartz countertops for residential kitchens and baths. Rumford Stone Inc. fabricates and installs granite counter tops, as well as quartz and natural stone, for kitchen and bathroom counter tops, showers, and fireplace surrounds for customers in New England and surrounding states. We serve local kitchen and bath dealers, home builders, contractors, Lowe's and the retail public throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. We periodically offer first- and second-shift employment opportunities for a variety of positions at Rumford Stone Inc. that include CNC Machine Programmers, CNC Machine Operators, Stone Fabricators, Installation and Measuring Techs, Warehouse, Customer Service and Sales. I have been offered excellent training from management, which helped me learn the skills to become a CNC Operator. Every day I'm gaining more information about the job and industry, and these are lessons I will be able to apply throughout my future. Rumford Stone has a friendly work environment and a great group of co-workers, many who are longer- term employees. I've realized that if I put in the hard work and time, I can have a very good career."
