"When you're making a product, you're always
going to have a problem," he explains, "And that's
where I come in, I'm really good at problem solving
and fixing things and that's what drew me to it. …You
really do have to be creative. The most crazy outside
solutions might actually lead you to solve the prob-
lem. I'm doing something different every day and I
absolutely love it."
Making dollars
The pay scale in manufacturing is one of the high-
est in the state, Przybyszewski says. Entry-level jobs
start in the $13- to $15-an-hour range, and go up for
more specialized skills and experience. For example,
Przybyszewski says, the median hourly earnings for
machinery mechanics is approximately $24 and quali-
ty inspectors, testers is about $18. And higher skilled
