Chandler House, as it is affectionately known, is a 5,888-square-foot historical building that is being completely renovated to offer five affordable housing units for seven clients. is building is designed to encourage and maximize client independence, community integration and economic participation. is project will be self- sustaining within two years of stabilization. e other goal for 2018 involves increasing Mobius' donor base and corporate sponsorship through education and a better understanding of the services Mobius provides, thereby allowing Mobius, Inc. to be less reliant on state and federal funds. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Beginning Sept. 9, 2017 Mobius will be launching its first online appeal "$21K in 21 days for 21 Academy Hill Road." On Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mobius, Inc. will be hosting a community-wide celebration and conversation at its newest location, 21 Academy Hill Road, in Newcastle. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Mobius Inc.'s first-ever Major Gifts campaign will fund the Chandler House building's rehabilitation and supplement its eventual operation. Mobius is hop- ing that the Chandler House Revival Project will serve as a pilot for other non- profits also attempting to navigate the complexities of the affordable housing crisis. Every dollar donated to the project will go directly to the construction and will eventually offset the cost of living for Mobius clients.
