Our Vision: To transform lives of individuals with emotional, mental, developmental, and behavioral disorders caused by trauma, abuse, neglect or other causes; by providing mental health care and educational services in a safe environment with teamwork, compassion and innovation. Our goals for the 2018 Calendar year include: 1. Serving the Maine community by providing: f Developmental Pre School and Center Based programming age 3-5; f Day Treatment K-12; f Residential Treatment to children and adolescence with Autism and other mental health disabilities. f erapeutic Foster Care Families to children needing a home. f Individual Case Management f Counseling (in home or in offi ce) 2. Strengthening our relationships within the community by establishing a Maine Board of Associates. 3. Launching a capital campaign to secure the donations necessary to make needed improvements to our grounds and facilities. 4. Growing our Foster Care Community by recruiting more loving people to provide good Foster Homes. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES f Graham Lake Playground Campaign – Various events held in support of raising funds for a new playground for kids attending the Graham Lake School and Milestones Pre-school Programs. f Annual Holiday Gift Giving Campaign – Funds raised to support the pur- chase of holiday gifts for youth and families served by KidsPeace in Maine. f Annual KidsDay Celebration – First Sunday in August – Funds raised to support the annual National KidsDay celebration on the Graham Lake Campus: bounce house, games, dunk tank (aka "sink an administrator") and fun for kids and families. f Foster Parent Recognition – May – Help us recognize our foster parents with special events such as recognition dinners and prizes during National Foster Parent month! f Foster Family Home Renovations – Help us provide funds to help foster families with minor renovations to their homes that are necessary to meet licensing standards. Supporters can donate to these eff orts by check, online or through in-kind support (all proceeds support kids and families by providing otherwise unavail- able funds) and/or help solicit sponsors, vendors and volunteers to help with marketing and coordinating each of these events. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES 1. e Maine Children's Fund provides those items that are not considered "essentials" but are important to encouraging hope and healing for the children in our care. is fund covers birthday gifts, Christmas and Holiday gifts, special celebrations for successes achieved, opportunities to receive special lessons like learning to play an instrument or playing on a sports team, attending a special camp or event, etc. 2. Graham Lake Playground Fund was established to provide the playground equipment appropriate for the children in our care on the Graham Lake campus. 3. General Children's Fund provides funding for children under the care of KidsPeace (holiday gifts, lessons, camp). VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES e easiest way to volunteer is to contact your nearest local KidsPeace offi ce (easily found at www.kidspeace.org, where all of our locations are listed as well as all of our upcoming special events/fundraisers).
