The program helps individuals with fitness, nutrition and wellness, money management, digital literacy and positive life choices. Walmart and the Walmart Foundation recently donated $280,000 to nonprofits in Connecticut including: Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries, Essex; Community Soup Kitchen, New Haven; The Salvation Army, Hartford; House of Bread, Hartford; and Catholic Charities, Norwich. The United Bank Foundation Connecticut presented Journey Home with a $10,000 check during "United Bank Night" at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Journey Home, based in Hartford, helps individuals and families overcome homelessness.
