LISA DEWITT is the new site director at Fallon Health's Summit ElderCare location in Charlton. DeWitt, who lives in Dudley, will lead an interdisciplinary team to oversee patient care and help with the facility's planned move to a soon-to-be-built facility at 108 Thompson Road in Webster. She has an associate's degree in nursing from Quinsigamond Community College, a bachelor of science degree from Worcester State College and a certificate in legal nurse consulting from Bay Path Community College. DR. LAURA AMORESE- O'CONNELL is a new rheumatologist on the staff of Southbridge- based Harrington Physician Services. Dr. Amorese- O'Connell, a native of Venezuela, was a research fellow at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institute and a clinical research fellow at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence. KATIE LAPLANTE is the new vice president of health services for Venture Community Services of Sturbridge. Laplante will oversee residential and day habilitation nursing, plan and direct medical training and coordinate care. She brings more than 20 years of professional experience, most recently serving as wellness director at The Estate in Franklin, and has a nursing degree from the St. Vincent School of Nursing in Worcester. DR. DANIELLE NIXON has joined the pediatrics department at Reliant Medical Group. She has a medical degree from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, and completed her pediatric residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, N.J. DR. LOUIS JENIS, a Hopkinton resident, is now chief medical and innovation officer at Newton- Wellesley Hospital in Newton. Jenis has been a practicing orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of Clark University in Worcester and Boston University School of Medicine. GEORGE KRASOWSKI has joined Heywood Surgical Associates in Gardner. He has been on staff at Heywood Hospital since 1989 and serves as the hospital's chief of surgery. Krasowski is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine- Yeshiva University in New York. KAREN WILLIAMS was hired by Advocates, a Framingham-based human services organization, as vice president of developmental and brain injury services. Williams was previously senior director for disability and community services at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She earned a master's degree in social work from Boston University.
