The company, which also operates locations in Springfield and Northampton under its Eastern division, offers depression treatment using Brainsway Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, a patented technology and treatment approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The Brainsway machine system stimulates part of the brain to alleviate depression. According to the company, the 20-minute, minimally-invasive outpatient treatment has been effective in treating patients who did not respond to other antidepressants. More than 50 percent of patients have had positive responses following a six-week period of treatment. The patented treatment has been FDA approved since 2008 and has been tested in more than 60 clinical studies at leading institutions, according to the company.
