With a newly expanded state-of-the-art cleanroom, about 50% of the products we manufacture are used in the healthcare/biotech arena, but we're growing across all market segments. In the last 5 years, we've turned over 90% of our injection molding machines, replacing them with high efficiency, low-emission Engel machines with Eco-Drive technology. This results in a 50% decrease in energy consumption and drastically lowers our carbon footprint. Sterling recycles process water to heat the building in the summer and cool it in the winter. We use roughly the same amount of oil to heat our facility in the winter as a single family home. We recycle almost all scrap resin.
