Tucker will use his HVAC ser- vice, energy and building automation experience to lead strategy and development for the district. Tucker was most recently systems sales leader for Trane in Connecticut. Hartford Foundation for Public Giving names chair of Latino Endowment Fund Moraima Gutierrez of Hartford has been named chair of the steering committee for the Latino En- dowment Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. She succeeds former Latino Endowment Fund steering committee chair Nelly Rojas Schwan, who will continue serving as a member of the committee. Gutierrez currently serves as assistant district director for economic development/media relations at the Connecticut District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Touchstone Advisors adds partners Touchstone Advisors LLC of Hartford, a mergers and acquisitions firm that advises owners of small and midsize companies seeking to sell, has pro- moted Jeffrey Rich and Steven Pappas to partner. They have been M&A advisers at Touchstone and will continue to work directly with clients providing M&A and exit-planning advisory services. Rich has been an M&A adviser for six years. He's a chartered financial analyst, business owner who has bought and sold his own companies profitably, and for- mer hedge fund trader. Pappas has been an M&A adviser for 13 years. ECHN names assistant VP of finance Cassandra L. Mitchell has been named as- sistant vice president of finance for Eastern Con- necticut Health Network, a subsidiary of Prospect Medical Holdings Inc., effective Aug. 21. Mitchell comes to ECHN from UConn Health, where she was chief revenue cycle officer for 15 years. Duncaster hires new director of quality Michelle Allison has joined Bloomfield retire- ment community Duncaster as the new director of quality responsible for all quality improvement ini- tiatives throughout the community. Allison brings more than 20 years of experience in health care. Her professional background is in senior living, with a focus on quality assurance, cost-effec- tive care, patient and family education, and nursing operations. Most recently, she was the nurse man- ager at Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford. UConn names research VP Radenka Maric has been appointed vice presi- dent for research at UConn and UConn Health, where she intends to grow the university's research enterprise by increasing strategic connections within and beyond the university. Maric will focus on linking researchers across schools, depart- ments and campuses to enable cross-disciplinary research that aligns with federal science and health initiatives. Prior to her new role, Maric served as executive director of UConn's Innovation Partnership Building and leveraged more than $80 million in industry and federal agency projects. Maric is also the founder of a biotech startup based on her research. AARP appoints volunteer CT president AARP Connecticut has appointed Tia Murphy as its new volunteer state president. Murphy, a volunteer with AARP Connecticut since 2010, worked for more than 30 years in the information technology, telecommu- nications, and cable and internet industries, including leadership positions with AT&T, BellSouth, Mediacom, ClearSource and Commonwealth Communications. The volunteer state president helps guide the work of AARP Connecticut, acts as a local ambas- sador and leads volunteers. ImageWorks expands team with acquisition Vernon web design and digital marketing agency ImageWorks LLC has expanded its team through the acquisition of Search Integrations, which adds John Kleinhans and Matthew Trant to the staff and in- creases ImageWorks' services. Kleinhans is the former executive director of the Connecticut Republican Party and serves as the senior strategist for Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton. Trant is the former president and CEO of Search Integrations. Foxwoods hires new chief marketing officer Foxwoods Resort Casino has hired Suzanne Trout as chief marketing officer to grow market share and oversee all marketing/communications. Trout, who has more than 20 years of integrated marketing experience, joins Foxwoods from Reno, Nev.-based Eldorado Resorts, where she served as senior vice president of marketing and advertising.
