The project will be part of the Navy Yard development in Philadelphia, a 1,200-acre business campus on a former U.S. Navy complex. Ameresco announced the start of construction on the project Aug. 4, and said it is expect- ed to be operational by later this year. The microgrid, previously reported to cost about $11 million, will include a 6-megawatt natural gas-powered power plant. Ameresco is designing, building and maintaining the system. Medusa planning $6M canning facility Medusa Brewing Co. will develop a $5.5-million canning facility adjacent to its existing taproom in Hudson, which town officials are leveraging to get more redevelopment money from the state. The planned 15,000-square-foot facil- ity along the Danforth Brook at 1 Houghton St. will feature angled win- dows, a boardwalk along the brook's edge and outdoor seating for guests. Because of the Medusa expansion and a separate $5.5-million mixed-use development by Charles Randall in downtown, Hudson has asked MassWorks for a $2.5-million grant for downtown improvement projects. The brewery has entered into a pur- chase-and-sale agreement with property owner Alexander Santos and has been working with MassDevelopment. The brewery is in its final stages of securing funding through a local bank. The company is an independent reg- istered investment advisor, known as an RIA. It has 32 employees, including 11 certified financial planners and six chartered financial analysts.
