After graduation, she started as a teller full- time and received four promotions in 14 years to her AVP role, exceeding deposit and loan growth expectations for the virtual branch. Belair volunteers on the audit com- mittee for the Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks and with Pink Revolution and Pancreatic Cancer Alliance. She and her husband, Jason, are expecting their first child. When she gets free time, she enjoys camping, crafting and reading. What do you daydream about? Vacations I'd like to take! If you spoke at a college graduation, what would the message be? The world is run by those who show up, not those who wait to be asked. What is your favorite piece of Central Massachusetts history? As someone who grew up in Auburn, the story behind the Auburn Rocket and Robert Goddard. In 2007, Dahrooge started her prac- tice to bring compassion and under- standing to financial planning, and co- founded Chan & Dahrooge in 2014 to help clients prepare for retirement and protect family and business assets. She is a political involvement leader in the New York Life's Boston office, traveling to Washington, D.C. to meet with legis- lators and providing testimony in Massachusetts on financial regulation. Dahrooge and her husband, Aaron, foster dogs through Broken Tail Rescue, Inc. finding families for more than 80 dogs in the last six years. This summer, she returned from a five-week back- packing trip through Europe. How do you define success? We should have well-rounded lives, includ- ing spending meaningful time with our families, being charitable in our com- munities and taking care of our health. Favorite Central Mass. restaurant? Bocado What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be the next Debbie Gibson! BirchTree's foundations were laid when Fecteau started selling his bread out of the back of wife Avra Hoffman's Subaru, and then moving onto farmers' markets. In BirchTree's third year of operation in the Crompton Building in Worcester's Canal District, the restau- rant serves 4,000 guests per week with 30 employees. The firm grew from $800,000 in revenues the first year at Crompton to $1.8 million this year. Facteau continues to hone his craft as a baker and evolves BirchTree's business model, contributing to the growing Worcester community and supporting local farmers and small businesses. What person do you look up to? My older brother, Raymond Fecteau, who is very level-headed and makes deci- sions in a thoughtful way. What will colleagues say at your funeral? I was a good guy, I contributed to society, and I lived my dream. What one Central Mass. spot should everyone visit? Quabbin Reservoir What actor would play you in the movie about your life? Seth Rogan Johnson joined O'Connor, looking to continue its legacy of professional excel- lence and community involvement, while strategizing clients tax, auditing and accounting needs and requirements. He has served on the board of Canines for Disabled Kids since 2008, on the audit committee of The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, as an executive committee member of the Worcester Estate & Business Planning Council, as a member of the Worcester Young Businessmen's Association, and as a member of Tatnuck Country Club. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, kaya- king and playing volleyball. What would a movie made about your career be called? "Kevin Can Do It!" When something new needs to get done, I'm usually the one with the knowledge and experience to do it. Who gave you the best career advice? John Armstrong taught me the importance of hard work. Why do you work in Central Massachusetts? I love the people and the smaller community feel of the area.
