Gerken has worked for Pratt & Whitney since 2000, holding numerous positions of increasing responsibility within both operations and engineering. • • • CRONIN WINS TWO PUBLIC RELATIONS AWARDS Glastonbury marketing agency Cronin has received two awards from the Publicity Club of New England. The agency received top honors for public relations excellence related to campaigns for its McDonald's clients. • • • HARTFORD STADIUM NAMED 'BALLPARK OF YEAR' Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford has been named "Ballpark of the Year" by BaseballParks.com, a frequent contributor to USA TODAY. This is the second honor for the ballpark that is home to the Colorado Rockies' Eastern League affiliate Hartford Yard Goats. In June, an online poll conducted by Ballpark Digest ranked the stadium the best Double-A ballpark in America. The fundraiser supports the Women's Leadership Council's Family Financial Stability Initiative, helping women and families in the community become financially stable. GILBANE RECEIVES PROJECT TEAM AWARD MARCH OF DIMES CELEBRATES GYL FINANCIAL SYNERGIES PARTNERSHIP UNITED WAY WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP COUNCIL ▶ ▶ Gilbane Building Company was recently honored by the Connecticut Building Congress with a first place Project Team Award in the new construction category for the Hartford Hospital Bone and Joint Institute project in Hartford. Gilbane was also recognized with an award of merit in the K-12 Schools category for the Francis T. Maloney High School in Meriden. ACCOLADES & MORE ▶ ▶ March of Dimes of Connecticut recently congratulated GYL Financial Synergies for their partnership. GYL Financial Synergies, based in West Hartford, has been presenting sponsors for the annual Hartford Run for Babies. Through their fundraising efforts, GYL has helped raise over $12,300.
