Schoodic Institute in Winter Harbor added David Ellwood and Gary Machlis to its board of directors. Ellwood is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science, a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a senior research a li- ate of the National Poverty Center at University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, while Machlis is a professor of environ- mental sustainability at Clemson University in South Carolina. WinterKids, a nonpro t in Portland that encourages children to develop healthy lifelong habits through outdoor winter activity, added Seth Coburn, Sarah Long and Jeff Zachau to its board of direc- tors. Coburn is an associate attorney at Verrill Dana LLP, Long is a meteo- rologist at WMTW and owner of Long's Board Shop and Zachau is president of Zachau Construction. e organization also announced its o cers for scal year : Erin Brennan, president, risk management, TD Bank, president; Joe O'Neil, owner, Portland Pie Co. Roger Milliken joined the board of direc- tors of the Northern Forest Center in Concord, N.H. Milliken is the pres- ident and CEO of the Baskahegan Co., a forestry services company in Brookton.
