Galeota brings more than 30 years of experience to the new position and has guided the design, construction and financial oversight of projects throughout New England, in- cluding the reconstruction of historic town centers, historic mill conversions, Rentschler Field, Mashan- tucket Lake of Isles Golf Course and more. CT Association of Public School Superintendents appoints board president The Connecticut Association for Public School Su- perintendents (CAPSS) recently elected Greg J. Florio as president of its board of directors. Florio has volun- teered with CAPSS as an officer and board member since 2011. Florio serves as executive director of the Capitol Region Education Council. He's also a member of the state education commissioner's Superinten- dents' Roundtable. Construction Resources Inc. hires executive VP of development Construction Resources Inc. in Farmington an- nounced the hiring of Brian D. Horton as executive vice president of development. Horton has 40 years of experience in business development, construc- tion management and brand strategy in the archi- tecture and construction industry. Prior to joining Construction Resources, Horton served as the executive director at MBH Architecture in West Hartford, where he was responsible for the conception and execution of expanding its client base. He will be acting in the same capacity in his new role. Simsbury Bank names VP-commercial relationship manager Simsbury Bank, subsidiary of SBT Bancorp Inc., an- nounced that Joseph Raycraft has joined its team as a vice president and commercial relationship manager. Raycraft will be based in the Avon branch and will work with small- to medium-sized businesses, with a par- ticular focus on family owned businesses, in central Connecticut. Raycraft has 17 years of commercial lending, loan staff management, financial supply chain and insur- ance service provider experience, most recently as executive vice president and chief lending officer with World Business Capital. The First National Bank of Suffield names SVP-head of retail The First National Bank of Suffield announced that David Oliver has joined the bank as senior vice pres- ident and head of retail and small-business banking. Oliver will lead the bank's retail branch network, con- sumer and residential lending and small-business banking efforts. Prior to joining the bank, he served as senior vice president of retail banking at Windsor Federal Sav- ings and Loan Association. CT Convention & Sports Bureau elects officers, board members The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTC- SB) has elected John A. O'Toole as its new vice chair; Thomas Madden as assistant treasurer of its board of directors; and added Jeff L. Hubbard and Brian Sum- mers as the bureau's newest board members. O'Toole is community relations and economic de- velopment lead for Eversource. Madden is director of economic development for the city of Stamford and the executive director for Stamford's Urban Redevelopment Commission. Hubbard is president and commercial sales leader for KeyBank's Connecticut and western Massachu- setts market. Summers is general manager of the newly renovat- ed Heritage Hotel & Conference Center in Southbury. Voya Financial names president of corporate 401(k) market Voya Financial Inc. announced that Bill Harmon has joined the company as president of retirement corpo- rate 401(k). In this general management role, Harmon will oversee all aspects of the corporate 401(k) market, including sales, relationship management, strategy and profitable growth for all segments of the market. Harmon will join CEO of Retirement Charlie Nelson's leadership team, as well as Voya's operating commit- tee. Most recently, Harmon served as senior vice presi- dent, core markets for Empower Retirement. Foxwoods names VP of national marketing Foxwoods Resort Casino announced that Augie Renna has joined the team as vice president of nation- al marketing. Renna will be responsible for the overall management and direction of player development ac- tivities in Atlantic City, N.J., as well as the maintenance of the casino customer base. He also will explore open- ing additional branch offices in strategic locations to further build Foxwoods' brand. Renna has more than 30 years of casino marketing and leadership experience. Most recently he was pres- ident of national marketing for Tropicana Las Vegas. Webster appoints head of private bank for Hartford, New Haven markets Webster Bank has appointed John H. Driscoll Jr. as regional market executive for Webster Private Bank's Hartford and New Haven offices. The Susie Foundation received a $10,000 grant in honor of Matthews' volunteer efforts. Community Mental Health Affiliates (CMHA) recently hosted its third annual Run for Recovery 5K race at New Britain Stadium, home of the New Britain Bees. The event, attended by over 300 participants, raised more than $60,000 to benefit CMHA's mental health and substance abuse treatment programs in New Britain.
