Bill Stone, principal of Promising Futures in Winthrop, was elected president; Pricilla Hansen Mahoney, owner, Blazing Trails Coaching in South Portland, vice president; Malcolm Poole, owner of Malcolm Poole Business Coaching & Organizational Consulting in South Portland, treasurer; and Jim Casey, principal of Casey Communications in Cape Elizabeth, secretary. The Northern and Eastern Maine Chapter of the American Red Cross in Bangor announced new officers for its board of directors. Gordon Stitham, execu- tive director of the Brewer Housing Authority, was elected chair and Lara Clark, marketing director of Bouchard Cleaning and Restoration, vice chair. In addition, Jess Beaulieu, a commer- cial lines insurance agent with the Darling's Agency, and Jennifer Oliveria, senior business development manager for Infinity Federal Credit Union, were chosen as new board members. Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Lewiston was named a Top Agency of the 2016 HomeCare Elite, signify- ing the agency as one of the top per- formers in home health in the nation for a fourth consecutive year. Hussey Seating Co. in North Berwick was named the Manufacturers Association of Maine's "2017 Manufacturer of the Year." Rockland Main Street Inc. was desig- nated as an accredited Main Street America program for meeting rigor- ous performance standards set by the National Main Street Center. The MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence's Breathe Easy initiative announced its 2017 awardees. Gold level winners, meeting all 10 program standards, included Community Health and Counseling Services, County Behavioral Medicine, Evergreen Behavioral Health, Maine Behavioral Healthcare – Rockland, NFI North Inc. and Tri-County Mental Health Services. Silver level recipients, meet- ing eight or nine of the standards, were Aroostook Mental Health Center, Kennebec Behavioral Health, Mid Coast Hospital Addiction Resource Center and Paramount Behavioral Services Inc. In addition, Linda Christie, prevention specialist at Mid Coast Hospital, and Catherine Ryder, executive director at Tri-County Mental Health Services, were named "Individual Gold Star" champions. Apothecary By Design, a specialty pharmacy in Portland, was awarded full accreditation in specialty phar- macy from URAC, a national health care benchmarking organization. The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention's State Cancer Registry was recognized as a Registry of Excellence by National Program of Cancer Registries. e distinction was awarded due to its high qual- ity data on cancer prevention and control activities at local, regional and national levels, following Maine's most recent data submission. TRC, an engineering, environmen- tal consulting and construction management firm in Augusta, said that Benjamin Cynewski received his Professional Engineer License for Maine and Adam Benedict received his Professional Engineer License for Rhode Island.
