Figueroa and Ortiz won $500 for their plan for Dream Beyond Studios, which creates videos tailored to people's needs. • • • TECTON ARCHITECTS EMPLOYEE RECEIVES EMERGING YOUNG PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD Antonia Ciaverella from Tecton Architects has received the Construction Institute's Emerging Young Professional Leadership Award, which rec- ognizes contributions and dedication to the Institute and young profes- sional peers. Ciaverella joined Tecton in 2016 and serves as an archi- tectural designer in the firm's healthcare studio in Hartford. CHRYSALIS CENTER COLLECTS FOOD FOR FRESHPLACE COMCAST NBCUNIVERSAL AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS ROBINSON+COLE PARTICIPATES IN JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT CAREER WALK ▶ ▶ Chrysalis Center's second annual Donation Creation Food Drive and Competition raised nearly 5,000 non-perishable food items for their food pantry program, Freshplace. The first place award was presented to employees at SMC Partners LLC in Hartford who designed a floor-to-ceiling butterfly made with over 800 cans of food (shown above). ▶ ▶ Comcast NBCUniversal has awarded $53,000 in scholarships for the 2017-18 school year to Connecticut students as part of its annual Leaders and Achievers Scholarship program. Comcast recognized the students at a special event held at the State Capitol and legislative office building in Hartford.
