HEALTH • Summer 2017 25 ANA SUJATA MADARIYA joined Reliant Medical Group's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and will see patients in Worcester and Webster. She received her medical degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and stayed in Buenos Aires for her internship at Hospital de Clinicas "Jose de San Martin." She then completed a residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. JENNIFER RAMIREZ has joined the Garvin Center for Geriatric Psychiatry at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer as nurse manager. She has over 10 years of experience in geriatric nursing and transitional care settings. She joins Nashoba Valley from Westford House in Westford, where she oversaw operations for 41 beds, including both traditional and long-term care. She is a graduate of Rivier University in Nashua, N.H. and is working towards a master's degree for family nurse practitioner and leadership. ANDREW TARASUK joined the Garvin Center for Geriatric Psychiatry at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer as executive program director. Tarasuk, who helped open the center in 2014, is a licensed independent clinical social worker with a bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut State University and a master's in social work from Bridgewater State University. He previously worked as the senior social worker managing inpatient care at Whittier Pavilion's Geriatric Psychiatry Unit in Haverhill. DAVID CHAD has joined the division of neurology at Reliant Medical Group in Worcester. He joins Reliant from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Chad received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Montreal General Hospital at McGill University. He did a residency in neurology at the University of California, San Francisco, and went on to complete a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders at Tufts University. STEPHEN F. BADYLAK was appointed as co-chair of the Scientific Advisory Board at Biostage in Holliston. He is a professor in the department of surgery and deputy director of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine in Pittsburg. He holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine, a master's in clinical pathology, and a PhD in anatomic pathology from Purdue University, as well as a medical degree from Indiana University Medical School. He is a member of the College of Scientific Reviewers for the National Institutes of Health. RUSSELL DONNELLY has joined Harrington Physician Services in Southbridge as an orthopedic surgeon. He is returning to Central Massachusetts after spending three years at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, Maine. Before that, he worked in Worcester for 15 years, including at Fallon Clinic and at St. Vincent Hospital Department of Orthopedics. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and a member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. FRANK JOYCE is now senior director of UMass Medical School's Disability Evaluation Services in Worcester after holding the position on an interim basis. He oversees more than 60 licensed disability reviewers, clinical managers, psychologists and physician advisors who conduct disability reviews for state agencies and local governments, and consult private companies. He has over 30 years of experience in public and private health administration, and has focused most of his career around helping vulnerable populations. DIANE DATTIS and SHAYNA SMITH were hired at Oriol Health Care of Holden. Dattis was named director of social services at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. She is a graduate of Westfield State University and has worked in skilled nursing facilities across Central Massachusetts for 30 years. Smith will provide speech therapy in the short term, long term and respiratory care units at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center as part of the Oriol therapy services team. She has been working with patients for over five years and has experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.
