The food was donated to Chrysalis' Freshplace, a fresh food pantry located on the Chrysalis campus in Hartford that serves the Upper Albany and Asylum Hill neighborhoods. VOYA EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER DURING NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE UNITED WAY RAISES MONEY FOR CHILDREN'S LITERACY LEADERSHIP GREATER HARTFORD MAKES FOOD DONATION ▶ ▶ Voya Financial held its fourth annual National Day of Service, during which thousands of employees participated in more than 200 events organized across the U.S. In Windsor, 600 employees signed up for 20 activities benefitting local nonprofit organizations including Riverfront Recapture, Habitat for Humanity, Community Farm of Simsbury, Channel 3 Kids Camp, and Mercy Housing and Shelter. ACCOLADES & MORE ▶ ▶ United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut Emerging Leaders Society raised $12,500 during its Boogie for Books event at the Chrysalis Center in Hartford. Funds raised go toward the purchase of new books and services through United Way to ensure children have fun learning activities this summer.
