Bennett joined Connecticut Children's in Sept. 2011, de- veloped and now directs the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) and most recently earned national at- tention for the hospital after diagnosing the first human case of tick-borne Powassan disease in Connecticut. Integrated Compliance Solutions Group adds group leader Integrated Compliance Solutions Group LLC (ICS- Group), an international financial services regulatory compliance consulting firm in Hartford, announced that Francis H. Byrd joined the firm to lead its environ- mental, social and governance (ESG) practice group. His role includes assessing internal governance poli- cies, developing ESG monitoring practices and provid- ing strategic advice on governance-related matters. Byrd brings more than 20 years of experience to the role. Prior to joining ICSGroup, Byrd held corpo- rate governance roles with TIAA, Moody's and Lau- rel Advisory Group. Jenkins has been appointed as a trustee to the Connecticut Laborers' Pension, Health, and Annuity Funds. Jenkins is gen- eral counsel and compliance director for regional construction firm Manafort Brothers Inc., headquar- tered in Plainville. The Connection promotes executive to CEO The Connection, a Middletown-based nonprofit human services and community development agen- cy, recently named Lisa DeMatteis-Lepore as CEO. She succeeds Peter Nucci, who retired in 2016. DeMatteis-Lepore, who previously served as the agency's chief operating officer and interim CEO, has worked more than 25 years in all areas of the agency and helped grow its family support services, which comprises the largest service sector of The Connec- tion. The agency's programs focus on reuniting fami- lies, breaking the generational cycles of abuse and neglect, and creating safer, healthier communities. Gaylord Specialty Healthcare adds to development staff Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a nonprofit special- ty hospital in Wallingford recently added three new employees to its development department: Timothy Buzzee, director of annual giving; Douglas Nelson, major/planned giving officer; and Krystle Smith, development systems associate. Buzzee will be responsible for the strategic ex- ecution and management of Gaylord's annual giving program. He is the former manager of development at Side by Side School. Nelson will be responsible for all major and de- ferred gifts. He is the former vice president and di- rector of development at Fidelco Guide Dog Founda- tion in Bloomfield. Smith is responsible for all donor information and the development department's database. She most recently was development operations manager at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk. Santander Bank names executives with CT responsibilities Santander Bank has appointed Hans Jung and An- drew Bella to senior vice president and relationship manager in the corporate and commercial banking division. Jung and Bella are responsible for managing existing client portfolios and growing the middle mar- ket client base in Connecticut. Jung joins Santander from East West Bank, where he was a relationship manager in the middle market group. Bella most recently spent about four years at Capital One Bank, where he served as a se- nior vice president and relationship manager work- ing with middle market companies in New England.
