Harbor Development Commission to complete a waterfront redevelopment plan. InterMed, a physician-owned primary care practice in South Portland, an- nounced it renamed its Generations OB/GYN practice to InterMed Women's Health. Alodyne LLC, a clean energy company in Portland, announced an expansion of services at the Jordan Hotel and Grand Summit Resort Hotel at Sunday River. Saint Joseph's unveils $4.7M athletic complex Saint Joseph's College in Standish unveiled its $4.7 million athletics com- plex with a ceremonial turf-setting event on May 4. It will include an artifi cial turf fi eld, eight-lane track, lights and on-site parking. In addition to serving as the home venue for the college's NCAA Division III Monks teams — soccer, fi eld hockey and lacrosse programs — the site will signifi cantly bolster the area's available athletics facilities, becom- ing the fi rst lighted turf/track college venue in southern Maine. e facility will host its fi rst event on Sept. 1. Saint Joseph's, founded in 1912, has 1,000 on- campus students. Dingley Press's $17M expansion adds jobs Dingley Press, Lisbon's largest employer and one of fi ve major catalog printers in the United States, is undertaking a $17 million expansion. e Sun Journal reported that Dingley, which last year employed 360 people and published 330 million catalogs, plans to purchase a fi fth high-speed printing press, a third co- mailer, a machine that sorts and bundles catalogs, adding 15 to 20 jobs in the pro- cess. "We need capacity," President and CEO Eric Lane told the Sun Journal. Northeast Bancorp, a full-service fi nan- cial services company and parent of Northeast Bank in Lewiston, reported net income of $3.5 million, or 39 cents per diluted common share, for the quar- ter ended March 31, compared to net income of $1.8 million, or 19 cents, for the quarter ended March 31, 2016. Acadia visitor spending rises in 2016 Visitors to Acadia National Park in 2016 spent an estimated $274 million, which supported about 4,200 jobs, Maine Public reported. e fi gure is up from $248.6 million spent in 2015. In Acadia, about 33% of visitor spending went toward hotel accommodations, 18% toward restaurants, and the rest toward recreation, retail, transportation, gas and groceries. According to Acadia, the spending had a cumulative benefi t to the local economy of $333 million. Rockland named one of '20 best small towns' Rockland has been recognized by Smithsonian.com as one of the "20 Best Small Towns to Visit in 2017." Smithsonian's annual list features remote hideaways to coastal harbors and other towns that were singled out for their diversity of character, the magazine said. "We set out on a quest to fi nd 20 great slice-of-life (and if you're Rockland, Maine, also award- winning slice-of-pie) small towns of unique fl avor," Smithsonian stated in its introduction to this year's towns.
