Driven by a passion to make health care work better for the people and the communities we serve, we're consistently ranked among the nation's highest- rated private health plans.* Whether we're designing affordable coverage options for the local market, working with area providers on innovative ways to deliver and pay for care, or contributing our time and resources to community organizations throughout the state, New Hampshire's employers and residents can count us in to improve the quality and value of health care. Our plan options Harvard Pilgrim's plans for employers include HMOs and PPOs with features that help keep premiums affordable. For instance, our Best Buy plans are avail- able with a variety of deductible options and include tiered copayments for office visits. Our NetOption plans include a separate deductible for services that members receive from tertiary hospitals; most such hospitals in the Harvard Pilgrim network are located outside of New Hampshire. Our Best Buy – LP plans give members opportunities to lower their out-of-pocket costs by receiving services from designated low-cost providers (LP), which currently include select laboratories and ambulatory surgical centers. We also offer federally qualified high- deductible health plans that enable members to set up and contribute to Health Savings Accounts. Consumers can buy our coverage for themselves and their families either through the New Hampshire federally operated Health Insurance Marketplace or directly from Harvard Pilgrim. For individuals seeking retiree coverage, our options include Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans. Provider partnerships Harvard Pilgrim was founded by doctors, and we have a steadfast commitment to working with local providers on ways to deliver and pay for care more effectively. For example, ElevateHealth SM is a joint venture between Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Elliot Health System and Harvard Pilgrim. It gives consumers a coverage option with significant premium savings over similar options, plus a network of premier New Hampshire hospitals, hundreds of primary care providers and thousands of specialists. Members benefit from highly coordinated care that is focused on the needs of the individual patient. Better health outcomes and premium savings are realized from the strong collaboration among the providers in the ElevateHealth network.
