LaCroix in Hartford. LaCroix is a partner and member of the firm's healthcare industry practice. With 16 years of public accounting experience, he specializes in providing au- dit and tax services to organizations including Feder- ally Qualified Health Centers, skilled-nursing facilities, and other human-service organizations. His healthcare audit experience also includes acute-care hospitals and continuing-care retirement communities. CT Hospital Association names director of quality informatics The Connecticut Hospital Association has hired Timothy McClung as director of quality informatics with CHA's ChimeData, which provides data prod- ucts and analytics for hospitals and health systems to gauge performance in quality improvement and patient safety. McClung will work with hospitals participating in CHA's Toward Excellence in Care (TEIC), a pro- gram that provides acute-care hospitals with quality improvement services through data collection and analysis of clinical processes and outcomes. Most recently, he was director of quality and patient safety at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. HNTB announces new CT officer appointments HNTB Corp., which offers infrastructure-related services that include planning, design, program and construction management, announced two new of- ficer appointments in Connecticut. Carrie Rocha, professional engineer and Con- necticut office leader based in Hartford, was pro- moted to vice president. Jake Argiro, professional engineer and director of operations based in Rocky Hill, was promoted to associate vice president. Farmington's KBE Building Corp. expands ownership Farmington-based KBE Building Corp. has named four new principals in the firm: James Culkin, chief operating officer and executive vice president; Rob- ert G. Dunn, vice president and general counsel; Antonio Mancini, vice president of field operations; and Timothy M. O'Brien, chief financial officer and executive vice president. Culkin was named COO and EVP in 2015 and oversees KBE's preconstruction and estimating teams. He is in- volved in all aspects of the firm's field operations, as well as long-range strategic planning. He joined KBE in 1996. Dunn joined KBE in 1999. In addition to general compliance oversight and duties as KBE's ethics of- ficer, he oversees contract negotiations, risk man- agement and dispute-avoidance efforts. Mancini is responsible for the management of field construction and project management staff and services on assigned projects. He joined KBE as a project superintendent in 1994. O'Brien is responsible for all aspects of KBE's accounting and financial functions, as well as stra- tegic planning for long-term growth. Before joining KBE in 1996, he worked for a national development and construction firm in Phoenix. Leadership Greater Hartford appoints new board leadership Leadership Greater Hartford has welcomed six executives to its board of directors: Nicola Allen, Mario Bruno, Steven Gilkey, Randy Gowdy, Aar- on D. Levy and Sumakshi Vali. Allen is community outreach manager for KNOX, a Hartford nonprofit that promotes local green and sustainable projects. Bruno is the CEO of the American Red Cross. Gilkey is vice president for electric field opera- tions at Eversource. Gowdy is president of Summit Financial Group's Northeast Division. Levy is a partner at Shipman & Goodwin LLP. Vali has nearly 18 years of experience with Web- ster Bank and is its senior vice president-region manager, community bank. In addition, Tisa Rabun-Marshall was appointed to serve on the executive committee as secretary of the Leadership Greater Hartford board. She is the director of web and social media for The Phoenix Cos. Inc., where she has worked about nine years. Qualidigm names InterCommunity president and CEO to board Qualidigm, a national healthcare consulting com- pany based in Wethersfield, has appointed Kim- berly Beauregard, president and CEO of InterCom- munity Inc., to its board of directors. InterCommunity is a nonprofit community health center located in East Hartford that provides prima- ry care and behavioral health services to individu- als, families and communities in Connecticut. Beauregard has more than 30 years in behavioral health services in direct care and administration. CT Convention & Sports Bureau names director of national accounts The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau has named Susan Koczka as a director of national ac- counts. Koczka has close to 30 years of experience in the conventions, meetings and hospitality indus- tries, including convention bureau sales initiatives, new business sales and marketing for an array of hotel properties in the Northeast, and managing meeting planning for a variety of associations. A certified meeting professional, Koczka comes to the CCSB from Association Resources Inc. in West Hartford, an association management firm. Levy Steven Gilkey Tisa Rabun-Marshall The United Bank Foundation Con- necticut recently presented the Greater Hartford Arts Council with a $12,250 check for continued support of the Arts Council's Big Red for the Arts event, which benefits arts organizations and programs throughout the region. • • • The University of St. Joseph and Urban Alliance received a $30,000 grant from the Farmington Bank Community Foundation to support More than Food, a framework that helps food pantries with more capacity-building resources in addi- tion to short-term food supplies to help address the root causes of hunger. Stop & Shop C o n n e c t i c u t stores presented Foodshare with a $175,000 grant that will increase access to healthy food for hungry children across Greater Hartford. Funding will sup - port Mobile Food- share, which pro- vides fresh food to families in need, and Hunger Action Teams, communi- ty-based coalitions that develop local solutions to child hunger.
