BOOK OF LISTS & ECONOMIC FORECAST 2016-2017
HBJ Book of Lists:
A resource of
business intelligence
T
his year we refreshed our annual Book of Lists, with new lists, an
economic forecast as well as our popular "5 to Watch" section, all of
which is aimed at helping inform the region's business, civic and nonprofit
leaders as they plan and strategize for 2017.
As you comb through the 52 lists included in this year's book, you'll also
notice fact boxes that will provide more context and insight to a few of our
lists. They highlight significant changes that occurred in some of our rankings
and data.
You'll also notice several new lists, including urgent-care facilities,
medical marijuana dispensaries and homecare providers, among others.
In addition, prominent local, regional and national economists and
business executives provide economic forecasts covering various industries
including real estate, health care, banking and finance and education.
For a third straight year, we also surveyed our business owner and
executive readers to get their insights on hiring and investment trends for the
year ahead. The survey results start on PG. 10.
We'd like to thank all of our contributors to the publication. Their
invaluable insights will help shed light on where the region's economy is
headed in 2017 and beyond.
Our sincere hope is that you will use this book as a reference guide, a
one-stop-shop business resource. The industry listings, contacts, and
economic insights contained in these pages will assist you in your daily
business decisions.
We are always interested in reader feedback, so let us know what you
think about our revamped Book of Lists.
Good luck in 2017!
