Meriden banking consultant Len Suzio
says the Federal Reserve Board shares the
same concerns about the potential negative
impact of higher borrowing costs to states'
and the nation's economy. Fouling their
ongoing job and other economic growth is
the chief reason the Fed has been cautiously
slow about raising the base rate, Suzio said.
"Connecticut's economy is recovering but
at an excruciatingly slow pace,'' he said. n
