Now in its 50th anniversary year, CHR is a leader in new approaches to reduce suicide and provide complete care for opioid addictions. We have over 700 employees who represent a broad cross section of medical, behavioral, social service and administrative disciplines. GOALS • Develop new ways to offer primary care and wellness services such as nutrition, exercise and mindfulness programs, to CHR clients • Expand comprehensive treatments for individuals with opiate addictions, including intensive therapy, medication assistance and case management • Continue to grow CHR's Therapeutic Foster Care program to help at-risk children and teens • Enhance substance use services to include all ages • Complete renovations and expansion of CHR's Enfield office, making way for expanded substance use services • Expand supportive housing programs in central and eastern Connecticut • Collaborate with the American Heart Association to launch the Empowered to Serve initiative and provide life-saving health information to CHR clients who experience health disparities • Continue to implement the Zero-Suicide initiative and screening tool throughout CHR.
