elcome to the Hartford Business Journal's innaugural Health Care Resource Gude
for 2016!
As a business segment, and as a key asset that makes the heart of our region beat,
health care is truly preeminent. e industry, and the dynamic ecosystem that has
grown up around it is not only a key economic driver, but an aspect of our region that adds to
quality of life in the most fundamental sense.
ese days, information makes the world go 'round, and if there is one area where we
have heard a clamoring for information from our business readers, as well as the community
of consumers in Greater Hartford generally, it is around health care. e publication you are
holding in your hand or viewing as a digital edition was conceived to address this need, which
we have heard expressed to us again and again.
We conceived the Health Care Resource Guide as an augmented extension of our "Book of
Lists," with a niche focus on health care. Please let us know what you think, and if there are lists
or specific entries that we should consider including for our next annual version.
