Jordan was a founding member of the Maine Illustrators' Collective, regional advisor for New England Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators and the principal and founder of Creative Bookings, an author visit booking agency. Drummond Woodsum, a law fi rm in Portland, hired Emily Howe, Erick Giles and Douglas Ginn as associ- ate attorneys. Howe is a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, Giles previously worked for the Indian Land Tenure Foundation concentrating on American Indian property rights and tribal economic develop- ment and Ginn is a recent graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law. [ P R O M O T I O N S ] Catholic Charities' Behavioral Health Network promoted Gwendolyne Tuttle to program director of sup- port and recovery services. Tuttle most recently served as a clinical team lead for the agency's behav- ioral health home services. Connectivity Point Design & Installation in Auburn promoted Jim Cyr to director of sales. The Penobscot Energy Recovery Co. in Orrington pro- moted Michael Mains to environmental manager and supplemental materials manager. Mains was previ- ously technical manager. SMRT Architects and Engineers in Portland promoted Dennis Morin to principal. Morin, who has more than 20 years of experience in commercial and justice projects, is also co-director of the fi rm's archi- tectural discipline practice. The Yarmouth Historical Society promoted Katherine Worthing to executive director. Worthing was previ- ously program director with the organization. cPort Credit Union in Portland pro- moted Devin Weimer to member care supervisor and Tracy Treubig to operations coordinator. Weimer was previously a member care representative and Treubig was senior operations specialist. EMHS in Brewer promoted John Ronan to acting president of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. In addition, Ronan will remain president of Blue Hill Memorial Hospital and a senior vice president at EMHS. MEREDA's 4th Annual "Strikes for Scholars" Bowl- a-Thon and Silent Auction fundraiser in May raised $18,000, all of which will fund scholarships for Maine students. In addition, MEREDA donated an additional $5,000, bringing the total number of students receiving scholarships to 16! MEREDA has identified workforce development as critically important to the future of real estate development. The building trades and professions provide high paying lifelong opportunities for our residents.
