Franklin Community Health Network in Farmington hired Miriam Leonard as COO. Leonard, who has worked as a health care leader over a career spanning more than 20 years, was vice president, value improvement at MaineHealth. Berman & Simmons, a law fi rm in Lewiston, hired Esther Yoo. She was previously with Pierce Atwood LLP in Portland and will represent plain- tiff s in personal injury cases. Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington hired Justin Clark as a surgeon at Franklin Health Surgery and Richard Batstone as an urologist and surgeon at Franklin Health Urology. Previously, Clark pro- vided general surgery at MaineGeneral Medical Center while Batstone was in private practice in Farmington. The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce hired Katie McAllister as marketing and membership coordinator. Starboard Leadership Consulting in Bangor hired Laura Mitchell, Melissa Donnelly and Scott Schnapp as consulting partners. Mitchell was an independent consultant, Donnelly was a research analyst at e Council on Financial Competition in Washington, D.C., and Schnapp was executive director of the Maine Association of Nonprofi ts. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Josephine Iannelli as execu- tive vice president, CFO and trea- surer of Bar Harbor Bankshares and Bar Harbor Bank & Trust and its subsidiary Bar Harbor Trust Services. Iannelli most recently served as senior executive vice president, CFO and treasurer of Berkshire Hills Bancorp in Pittsfi eld, Mass. Bernstein Shur, a law fi rm in Portland, hired Alex Kemp as director of marketing and business development. Previously, Kemp was co-founder and chief marketing offi cer of Harke Strategic LLC, a corporate security and executive protection services fi rm. Frannie Peabody Center, an HIV/AIDS organization in Portland, hired Donna Galluzzo as executive director. Galluzzo was executive director at Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland.
