Products: Medical: CPAP masks for people suffering from sleep apnea, implantable anchors used for ligament reattachment and wound closure devices Bioscience: Cell culture plate assemblies for cellular metabolism analysis devices used in cancer and immune system disorder research Aviation/Aerospace: The iconic green pilot headsets with the DC logo seen in many movies and television shows Markets/customers: Our partners include leading OEMs in the healthcare/biotech, defense, aviation and consumer product industries. With a newly expanded state-of-the-art cleanroom, about 50% of the products we manufacture are used in the healthcare/biotech arena, but we're growing across all market segments. We work with Fortune 100 innovators, cutting-edge medical device startups and international corporations. Environmental Awareness: In the last 5 years, we've turned over 90% of our injection molding machines, replacing them with high efficiency, low-emission Engel machines with Eco-Drive technology. This results in a 50% decrease in energy consumption and drastically lowers our carbon footprint. Sterling recycles process water to heat the building in the summer and cool it in the winter. We use roughly the same amount of oil to heat our facility in the winter as a single family home. We recycle almost all scrap resin.
