Marlborough-based Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc., a biopharmaceuti- cal company, partnered with United Way of Tri-County to support community pro- grams with volunteer work. Some of the groups benefitting are WHEAT Community Connections in Clinton; Yankee Golden Retriever in Hudson; and Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary in Lincoln. To mark 40 years in business, Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects launched a special program of volunteering, pro-bono design services and charitable giving. Called the 40 for 40 Commitment, the firm will work with 40 different nonprofits over the course of the year. Worcester hunger relief group Rachel's Table received a grant of $20,000 from BNY Mellon for the Children's Milk Fund program. The fund purchases milk for chil- dren in need at 21 Worcester food pantries, soup kitchens, group homes, day pro- grams and shelters. The milk is provided to children at the agency or provided for their family to use at home. SpencerBANK made a $1,675 donation to Camp Marshall of Spencer, giving five children the opportunity to attend camp and enjoy a summer of fun regardless of financial circumstances. Jersey Mike's Subs in Marlborough host- ed a food drive to benefit the United Way of Tri County's Marlborough Community Cupboard. Donors received a free regular sub with a donation of two food items. North Brookfield Savings Bank holds its Annual Fall Harvest Food Drive, with collec- tions taking place from Oct. 1-31 at all branches. For every item collected, the bank will contribute $1, for a total of up to $3,500, to help fund the pantries' operations. Country Bank of Ware gave 29 schools that participate in Savings Makes Sense and Credit for Life School Banking, with a $250 gift card to Staples for back- to-school supplies. Natick Visiting Nurse Association, a non- profit home health care agency, hosts its 10th annual Fresh Taste benefit on October 13, at Elm Bank Reservation, Wellesley, to support the Natick VNA in providing home health care, regardless of a patient's ability to pay. Fifth Avenue Liquors, Framingham, is a Platinum Sponsor of the event.
