JAMES SHENKO, a board- certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon, was hired by the new Center for Hand and Plastic Surgery, part of Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. Shenko completed his residency at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. ABBEY NELSON has joined Behavioral Concepts, Inc. of Worcester as an applied behavior analysis therapist. She is a graduate of Assumption College and resides in Worcester. COURTENEY CHURCHILL is now an applied behavior analysis therapist at Behavioral Concepts, Inc. in Worcester. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Churchill lives in Worcester. DR. YASSER REHMAN is now seeing patients at the Cancer Center at Harrington HealthCare System in Southbridge. Board certified in internal medicine, Rehman is completing a fellowship in oncology and hematology at Boston Medical Center. Before that, he completed his residency and internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, VA Medical Center, in the Bronx, N.Y. He received his bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery from Khyber Medical College at the University of Peshawar in Peshawar, Pakistan. DR. STJEPAN KERESHI a clinical neu- rology specialist, joined the South- bridge-based affiliate of Harrington HealthCare System, Harrington Physician Services. He has worked for about 35 years in private practice in Worcester and Southbridge. He will see patients at Harrington in South- bridge and Webster. Kereshi is board certified in neurology, electromyogra- phy and electro- diagnostics, and treats patients over 16 years old for common and rare neurologi- cal disorders. He sub-specializes in neurophysiology and performs diagnostic testing. HERATH WIJERATHNA joined the department of internal medicine at Southboro Medical Group in Framingham and is now seeing patients at the 761 Worcester Road location. She received her medical degree from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka and completed a residency in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Conn. JOYCE A. MURPHY executive vice chancellor of UMass Medical School's Commonwealth Medicine division, is now clerk of the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare Board of Directors. The Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare is a national nonprofit focused on bringing compassion to patient- caregiver interactions. Murphy was appointed to serve on the board in October and previously had served on its leadership council. She has been a senior executive at Commonwealth Medicine since 2011, after five years at UMass Medical School. She has worked at several hospitals in administrative positions and serves on numerous boards and commissions. ASHLEY ALLEN was hired as vice president of sales and marketing at Health New England in Springfield, which serves Worcester County.
